Non animal-based natural materials
The finishes and furnishings are vegan - no animal ingredients and not tested on animals (e.g., no adhesives based on animal bones, no wool-blend fabrics or waxes based on beeswax). We tried to verify everything.
Furniture made from recycled, ecological elements
We used recycled or recyclable materials. We searched for solutions with certifications related to environmental protection, ecology and veganism. We looked for reducing CO2 emissions (e.g., furnishings, finishes produced by factories that care about low CO2 emissions).
Local design
We used local materials and products whenever possible. We appreciate the value of local and strive to reduce the transportation route.
Climate neutral
We calculated our carbon footprint to then offset it through selected sustainability and community impact projects.
Impact on the envirnment
Plantonia will be net zero in 2025! After calculating our annual carbon footprint—108 tons of CO₂—we’ve taken action to offset it through impactful projects that align with our values of sustainability and community care.
Here’s how we’re making a difference:
BOSQUE ETXARRI PROJECT IN SPAIN
Through reforestation, we’re helping restore the gallery forest near the Arga River, damaged by a fire in 2022. This project not only rebuilds the ecosystem but also absorbs CO₂ from the atmosphere, actively contributing to climate change adaptation.
SAFE WATER PROJECT IN RWANDA
This initiative brings clean water to local communities through boreholes and chemical disinfection. By reducing the need to boil water with non-renewable biomass, the project protects forests, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and improves water quality and indoor air conditions.

Certificate
We have received Green Key certificate from Polish Foundation for Environmental Education – FDEE. The Green Key certificate is the leading standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry.

We have created a place that tries to be friendly, do little harm to the planet and use as much plant materials as possible. We believe that every sustainable decision makes sense.

We want to show that eco-vegan place is not only the least possible harm to the environment, but also style and comfort. The atmosphere of the space is very important to us. We love things that are beautifully designed and that are fun to use. We support Polish designers.
An aparthotel combines the best aspects of living in an apartment and staying in a hotel. On the one hand, freedom, on the other, the opportunity to enjoy professional service. Plants are an important part of our apartments, with them the space is more alive.
With respect for life
Sometimes we do not even know that a material or ingredient is of animal origin. The best examples are adhesives and impregnants in everyday items, in beds or chairs. A vegan place is all about checking everything and choosing things that have been created with respect for living beings.
